True numbers
Yesterday's Tulsa World has an article suggesting there were 1500 republican anti-anti-war protester. My take reading here and elsewhere it was maybe a couple dozen at most. I would like to have a closer count so I can call them on this. Also todays opinion page had an article calling bush* out. Please Mr pResident, be honest with us. Don't expect the American people to simply buy into your rosy scenarios. Things are not going so well in Iraq. Tell us the truth; we can handle it. With the truth in hand, maybe together we can find a way out of this morass. In another by William Raspberry basically saying the same and pointing out that, thats not likely to happen and yet a Letter to the Editor also saying the same thing. Is the tide turning or what.
Thanks in advance.

1. Maybe with the truth we can get out of this dilemma....
By impeaching the whole congress, and Bush's rotten vile but along with it. Congress R's barely hold onto 30% approval rating, facilitated stealing elections and are downright dispicable. Most of them are on the far right. Its time the repubs and dems fight these fanatics and permanently discourage them, through tactics such as Paul Hacketts.

5. My local newspaper in Florida ran a story that reported equal numbers
on both sides. They said 'about 1000 people' were at Camp Casey and 'about 1000' pro-Bush supporters showed up. I suspected a stretch there. :eyes:

6. Just another case of lying....
The majority is against the war, spinning doesn't help. The whole thing is self imploding on itself: We went in to get oil? Gee, what great neighbors....

7. That's funny...
Our local news said that there were 3000 Pro Bush protesters. If you get the real numbers, please post them. I would like to write a letter also.

8. Someone needs to make this their business.
Seems there is no source of remotely accurate counts of attendance to these types of events. Yet, many people want to know, and it would certainly provide a means to estimate interest in issues, or effectiveness in getting people out for such events.

A business needs money. Who pays? Would Conservatives pay for an ACCURATE account of their anti-anti-war turnout? Would Liberals? Depands on who is more confident the numbers will prove favorable, I'd guess. (So, publishing who paid for the numbers would also be needed.)

I'd think the news services would also want to know. But accuracy, perhaps at the expense of sensationalism, might not interest them.

Could a crowd counting business work?

9. In todays world of mis-information you have a point.
I feel that in the printed or broadcast news, mis-information is criminal.
