Norquist's message: don't worry, be happy

Grover was on Wash. Journal this a.m.

don't worry, be happy with the Repugs seemed to be his message but he did add that Congress was held by Republicans but not by conservative republicans. which he thought was a problem.

so if you believe Grover, sit back and just let them Repugs run things the right way, cause america is doing just fine.

1. Norquist's plan is right on schedule.
They're crushing our government with deficit spending and bad legislation. His goal of being able to "drown the federal govt in the bathtub" is almost achieved.

Sure, he's happy.

5. That's this whole filthy stinking mess in a nutshell!
Norquist's goal is nearly achieved, and if anyone still wonders why things are going the way they are, look no further than Mr. Norquist's comments. They fully intended to destroy the country, then "rebuild" it through privatization, deregulation, more breaks for big business, etc. But whether it works or not doesn't really matter, as long as the tax cuts are permanent, the top 1% or even 10% will always be ok no matter how bad it is for the rest of us.

2. they own everything but the problems
Saw him, too, and it was typical Repuke hypocrisy -- get the government out of our lives (unless we want to tell you who you could sleep with), lower taxes (but blame Dems in local and state governments for the deficit and out of the control spending), and let us keep our guns because the Second Amendment is sacred (the first, though, and all the others are dispensable).

What a lying, hypocritical cretin. And arrogant, on top of everything else.

4. Aww, poor Grover Norquist....
Who is under federal investigation for his affairs with terrorists and Jack Abramoff.

I'm not surprised at all by his delusions, I am surprised he calls the congress "anti-conservative".

Its been my view that the current congress is so conservative it should be in midland, texas year round to hold its meetings!

But, maybe for Norquist what he meant was it wasn't neoliberal/conservative enough.

:toast:

6. This Grover Nordquist???
"If we take control of the Legistative Branch and the Executive Branch, we will reinforce our control of the Judicial Branch to direct it against the Democrats" Grover Nordquist...9/12/04

If so, no wonder he's happy...he's getting just what he wanted...(but are we?)
