I haven't seen anything, I imagine it's high, but I'm wondering how high.

For that matter, who the heck does high turnout benefit?

6. I don't know what candidate high turnout would benefit

but I would see it as an indication of voters being motivated, which in turn would be good for the Democratic candidate in the general election. Democrats and independents are motivated to choose the right candidate to replace George Bush.

On the other hand, I believe there are a growing number of Republican voters who are disenchanted with W and because of that will decide to stay home in November.

Overall, a high turnout would be a good thing for us, I think.

9. It'll be hard to tell what it means because,

with no (serious) Repub challenger to Bush*, and it being an open primary, Repubs could show up and pull Dem ballots to screw things up.

We need instant runoff ballots!!

14. Repubs aren't allowed to do that unless they want to write in

a candidate, from what I just heard from someone who was there. Some Repubs gladly write in a candidate; others walk away in disgust.

I think NH is keeping pretty good tabs on who (Dems, undeclareds, Pubs) are showing up.

the General's vets will probably stay home. Deaniacs will hoot and hollar and wreck their cars. Kerry's supporters have SUVs so will likely be fine. Kucinich's warriers were walking anyway so no problems there. Sharpton's army ? No idea.

But its the Hamm Brigade that I predict will be out there leading the squeal attack and come in the real dark porcine winners !

Early reports say it is a very high turnout.

I LOVE a high turnout for the Clark campaign. I think it means higher than predicted Independent voting.

And who are independents going to vote for?

John Kerry, 30 year Democratic Senator? I don't think so.
Howard Dean, from the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party -- not so much.
John Edwards? I don't see why he'd appeal to independents.

I think Independents are going to vote for the guy who is being criticized for voting for Republicans in the past. Wouldn't you? Isn't that suggested by the Dixville Notch results of all independents?

Also, they'll vote for Joe Lieberman, one would think.

Of course Clark can still do well. For all we know with the media whores pronouncing him dead so early in the day, may bring some voters out for the General or cause others to not come out.
