1. I don't know what he can do.
I have studied many campaigns over the years and I have never seen one blow up like his.

2. Kerry should use pie charts like Perot used to
It won't win him the nomination, nothing will, but it will give him something to do until the inevitable withdrawal from the race comes.

for or against the Iraq war, depending on how the wind is blowing.

Oh, and be more careful about whom he drives around with.

5. If anyone honsestly voted for #1, I wish you'd defend your
position. As far as I can see, Kerry has no strengths anywhere, except among disaffected national security employees.

10. I agree that the media dealt him a bad hand right at the beginning.
But he's made some missteps, including failure to attack his IWR problem in a BIG, visible way. Did he write an op-ed piece explaining himself? I don't recall seeing one. I think he misplayed the whole thing. His supporters were better at defending his vote than he was. Is that the media's fault? I think to a degree it may have been. But it would have been very reassuring to me, as someone who expected to back Kerry until IWR, to see him blast his way through the media obstacle. I wanted to support Kerry. He never gave me a reason to get excited about him as a candidate. He's probably better off in the Senate anyway, as are Dems, considering a Republican would appoint his successor.

8. Attack Bush, not his fellow candidates.
He is very effective when he attacks Bush. He should stick to what he does best.

11. he's gotta swing harder at the Bush regime
and stop sniping at the other Dems. His last couple of debate performances have really shown the conviction and passion he has. But he has to direct it at the right target.
