Wasn't there some legislation passed a few years ago after an "opportunistic" gas station elected to do what Rush Limbaugh termed "free enterprise"?

1. Great Point--I Agree
This is a great point, I have also been trying to find any information on it and cannot, and it shows yet again whose media it is. Those poor people who now have nothing, devastated, are being price-gouged, and you know it. I heard that the (woman, Democratic) Governor of Louisiana, Kathleen Blanco, immediately instructed her Attorney General to prosecute anyone price-gouging during this awful crisis--bless her.

Contrast that with that filthy bastard, the first Bush, after Andrew I think it was (around 1992 as I recall). There was instant, horrible price-gouging on bags of ice that people needed to keep food cold, with no power; charging like $10-20 a bag to people who had nothing. I remember how my parents, both then still alive, bitterly attacked that fuckhead Bush for doing absolutely nothing to stop it, and help these desperate people. Now you know how evil they really are, and that there really is no limit to it.

3. As long as it's food stores, let em loot for fuck's sake!
There's no power, and there isn't going to be any for days, if not weeks. If there's food in stores, it can either sit there and rot, or people can eat it. Or what little of it they can eat either uncooked at all, or cooked by primitive means (if there's actually wood dry enough to get a campfire going, or whatever.

I don't think you're going to find a bunch of people looting TV sets that they can't plug in, or anything like that.
