There is a thread here that said in Iowa gas is going up 43 cents tomorrow.

edit to add - it already went up 26 cents on Monday.

5. Bring it on!
If $3.50/gal gas is what it takes to shock this damn nation awake, then so be it. I only pity those of us who tried to avert it by voting intelligently..

6. I was the next to last one to fill up my vehicle before 2.69 became 2.97
at my local 7-eleven around 7:30 this evening in Oklahoma. Last night I was going to the mall around 7:00 and the 7-11 had gas at 2.48, two hours later when I passed it again it was 2.69

12. Yeah, i'm in Missouri...
And last night i knew that the prices of gas would go up, so i filled up our mini van at 2.49 a gal, today, its 2.69-2.79 cents, it just matters where you get it....but the price is out of control, hopefully something good will happen, but i'm a realist, i don't see anything positive happening from this...

13. guess they'll have to find another 'best friend' besides *moron now ...
Crash on the levee, mama,
Water's gonna overflow,
Swamp's gonna rise,
No boat's gonna row.
Now, you can train on down
To Williams Point,
You can bust your feet,
You can rock this joint.
But oh mama, ain't you gonna miss your best friend
now?
You're gonna have to find yourself
Another best friend, somehow.

Now, don't you try an' move me,
You're just gonna lose.
There's a crash on the levee
And, mama, you've been refused.
Well, it's sugar for sugar
And salt for salt,
If you go down in the flood,
It's gonna be your own fault.
Oh mama, ain't you gonna miss your best friend now?
You're gonna have to find yourself
Another best friend, somehow.

Well, that high tide's risin',
Mama, don't you let me down.
Pack up your suitcase,
Mama, don't you make a sound.
Now, it's king for king,
Queen for queen,
It's gonna be the meanest flood
That anybody's seen.
Oh mama, ain't you gonna miss your best friend now?
Yes, you're gonna have to find yourself
Another best friend, somehow.

Down in the Flood
