They need to protect themselves against a possible loss. The mere fact they are trying to get this thought out means there is an inkling of doubt of whether or not their candidate can pull it off. They need to create an excuse for Dean's resurgence that has nothing to do with Dean pulling off a media coup the past few days.

I for one do not labor under false pretenses. If Dean doesn't win it is because he failed to excite the voters and convince them he is the best man for the job. All the dirty tricks in the world can't compete with a competent person running for office. His loss will have nothing to do with Kerry or Clark or Edwards. It is his to lose, he is the prime-mover of this election.

This is kinda interesting because I know what this is in response to and the person who said what prompted them to it to my knowledge isnt a Kerry person. So :shrug:. Actually Kerry lost the 30-45 out there :evilgrin: but it was only by a percentage point, and same with people who consider themselves very liberal, he lost that by 4% however. IMO NH will be close.
