The way I judge? How sympathetic they are to the people stranded and if they at least mention that most looting is for necessities and they criticize the delay in help. I translate this to mean that they are probably democrats...

1. Shepard Smith of Faux has been great...
I know it's hard to believe but he has been really beating up on the fed response. He'll prob get canned when it's all over.

3. I agree. I hope MSNBC hires him away from the evil network.
I think he was brave to stay in NOLA and he seems to really care about the people's plight. "Today I saw him say, I have seen no red cross nor FEMA anywhere for two days. These poor people were helicoptered here, dumped on the interstate - still no food, water, nothing." He was mad. Then later he was tap dancing to try and explain himself. Guess he got read the riot act.

It is un-fucking-believable though -- lot's of people there are saying where the fuck is FEMA ! Makes me want to drive down there with a car full of water, blankets, and flip flops.

2. Anderson Cooper seemed very cool tonight.
He was laying out the truth from MS, and criticizing the lack of response by the government. He also helped out some of the people in the area and seemed very sympathetic to their plight.

6. I don't get it at all. It's been 2 full days now. If the media can
get there - why the hell can't relief get there? If they are purposely moving slowly -- why would they do that?

4. Hard to believe but Scarborough
who is admittedly part of the RW blow machine, made the point many times that poor people died in NO and elsewhere for want of the money for a tank of gas. Even said that if the Hurricane had happened after the first of the month, more could have afforded to leave. Sad, sad days for this wealthy, head-up-their-ass country.

5. Jeanne Meserve
Her report for CNN the other night about hearing people calling for help in the darkness was chilling. She showed incredible humanity and appears to me to have been one of the first ones for the cable stations to have figured out the magnitude of the crisis.

8. I think those (Like Jeanne and Shepard) who actually stayed in
the Quarter, and lived through it are more sympathetic. They are probably hungry, thirsty and hot too.
