George W. Bush is "excuse boy"

Katrina is the reason gas prices are going up. 9-11 is the reason you have to quell all dissent, pour money to the rich and stomp on Saddam Hussein.

This is just another fortuitous development that lets him skate from any responsibility and scare people into giving him more power.

Using fear to quash dissent, he systematically uses misfortune--often abetted by his incompetence--to justify his actions.

Gas prices were out of control before this calamity; now he's the hero trying to stand fast in the face of "one of the worst natural disasters to ever hit this country". He's the hero.

9-11 was what caused our huge deficits, even though the director of OMB predicted a $1 Billion deficit in August of 2001; this was because of the idiotic tax breaks to the rich.

He plays the stalwart victim and we let him get away with it.

Since his whole being is focused on proving himself a manly figure of steadfast power, it needs to be said that all he does is snivel and bellyache that he's being picked upon by opponents and cruel fate. That's hardly the stuff of heroism; he's a shirker and a coward.

This "manliness" crap is way beyond tiresome. If you're the butch sheriff, you don't continually blame everyone else for things that go wrong.

Not responsible for anything he has done or said. Not responsible for the fear he has created and the actions he has purposely taken to weaken the government at every turn and any opposition or people who think and live differently. As always..like Hitler and others .. he finds a scapegoat to make evil .. this time the poor in New Orleans. And he needs to see his innocence reflected in the eyes of his adoring fans... the Bush he wants to be.. not taking responsibility for anything..of no existance... and farming out anger and hatred towards people he doesn't know and who are not in his life. The drug just gets bigger and bigger and bigger. That fix. His perfection, and that of his nefarious aides, and the need to keep on seeing the hate transfered to innocents - stuck under water in NO & mixed in with thugs with no protection or rescue. More and more aggressive he will get. One lie built on another. His innocence in the minds of the gullible who need to follow or are pressured to belong. He is a machine.
