1. Who was the dumbass state senator (GOP, of course) who insisted
there were enough Guardsmen left in the state to take care of everything? Somebody ought to toss the fucking bastard into the water and just walk away. He's sure there's enough Guard to save his ass.

2. I saw a story on CNN about a National Guard unit in Iraq from NO
area that is due home w/in a week. Imagine being in a war and then coming home to this! Those poor guys.

3. And the military plans to keep them there for the full week as well
I say the Commanding officer being interviewed about this and he said his family was doing fine but did not know about any of his men's families. Said they were planning to start their return trip home next Friday. WTF Would four days ruin our occupation of Iraq? these men are needed at home now not next Friday.......
