Until the dying people in NOLA are out of the public eye, nobody give a rip about the displaced evacuees. It will be a huge problem. Texas is trying to respond and offer up public spaces. The other surrounding States will likely follow suit.

It will be up to local county and city governments, businesses school districts and even individuals to find temporary housing and help for the evacuees. The feds don't have the resources and Bush and his neocon pals could give a rats ass. Bet your paycheck their main focus will be to get the refineries, oil platforms and pipelines back up. Then maybe they will consider actually talking about rebuilding enough for people to move back.
