A boatload of quakes in So. Cal.
Looks like it might be pre-quakes. Might have bigger quakes later.

http://earthquake.usgs.gov/recenteqsww/Quakes/quakes_all.html

When you get a really big quake, you usually have smaller quakes before the really big one.

Might be nothing, might be trouble.

1. Quakes in CA, hurricanes in the US, Typhoons in China,
Maybe it's Rapture Time! At the least a series of enormous disasters are the perfect opportunity for marshal law =....

2. Earth changes in full action - now and I think for the next
7 years...

Seems like the earth is going to force that greedy bastid to stop the
war in Iraq or be strung up by the thumbs by the public.

anyone got a picture of Mussolini?

8. Maybe. And maybe just a natural progression/cycle that has happened
before like Atlantis, Lemuria, sunken cities in India and Greece.

there are always cycles and patterns. We just happen to have a dimbot at the helm at the wrong time in history.

Whatever he touches turns to drek and always has. Every company he was ever in charge of went bankrupt.

Exactly what the WTO and IMF wants...that's why they put him in charge of a flourishing America.

6. Bernie Ward on KGO
Edited on Thu Sep-01-05 08:56 PM by Fatima
said last night that FEMA predicted three major events and made all these predictions before 911:

A terrorist attack on New York. This happened.

A major hurricane that would devastate New Orleans and the surrounding area. Happened.

A major earthquake in the Bay Area.

Eerie- and if I lived in the Bay Area I would pay a lot of attention to what is going on and start drawing up plans. Please, do not wait.

To add: I know the bay area is not "southern CA" but the prediction is certainly important enough not to ignore- no matter where you are in CA, draw up an emergency plan for you and your family!

11. What? Someone from FEMA? Whose administration? What year?
A Bush person?

This is the most diabolical prediction from a public figure that I ever though I would hear? What this on DU? Any references?

7. I hope you're wrong
I've lived here in SoCal my whole 39yrs. Been through all the big quakes since the 1971 quake.

We have volleys of little quakes often. Hopefully this is the same. Its something you get use to. And if you're observant, you can usually take information such as this and pay attention to your pets. Pets have some kind of sense and get distressed prior to a big quake.

But, thinks for the info FormerRepublican.... BTW, I too am a former repub.

9. Someone discussed it last night and said it was probably no big deal
Then again, they could be wrong.

I'm not a geologist, and I don't play one on the internet, either.

Post this in the science forum and let people that are smarter than me answer you.
