2. True, that. I was listing things that existed when gwb took office, in our
country, that are no longer there or irreparably damaged.

Iraq, the country, is definitely damaged beyond belief.

He just keeps on giving. MKJ

3. And that is why my stupid rethug relatives
feel sorry for him and give him every break there is ala " there has never been a president who has had to deal with such catastrophes' and "I am so glad a real leader is at the helm" Barf.

They do not listen to ANYTHING which castigates their beloved Bush ---- and they USED to be moderate Dems. Now they watch Faux, but still haven't fallen into the right wing religious crap about gays, creationism etc.

They and their like are why Shrub's numbers won't fall below 40.

9. Big loss, that one.
The US has a long way to go to get back the esteem in which we were once held by the international community, pre-gwb. MKJ

6. I was just talking to my sister about this
* has presided over the two of the three (if you think about the 1906 earthquake - I'm not sure where it falls yet on the scale) biggest disasters in American history. Some presidents don't even have one really huge crisis on American soil, and this idiot has two.

12. graywarrior, I forgot. We lost the democratic process for electing the
president. MKJ

BTW, the proof is there. We're still looking for that public forum that a democracy should provide.

13. I know, I think on the way home from work today it struck
me ...just how much damage one man can do when he treats life like a game ...he doesn't take anything seriously, that's why he has to keep saying things like, "you gotta believe me" or "I know how you feel", he's playing a game, pretending....

17. It's amazing, isn't it? I think it's a matter of not having had a deranged
narcissistic, substance abusing, sociopath as CIC before.

We've had paranoids, delusions of grandeur, sex addicts, pre-dementia and other assorted dysfunction in the WH.

But, they've managed to function at least nominally and recognized the gravitas of the office they occupy.

This guy...don't get me started. MKJ

15. Applan, welcome to DU. Although, you must have lurked a bit to have
come up with that clever post!

Yep, international regard for the US is gone. I think the rest of the world is regarding us tonight with pity.

We are looking pretty pathetic tonight, for being a superpower and all. MKJ
