3. Then Frist should volunteer
to go to Convention Center and wait for the last bus out, and be with the people until that time.

:D

Seriously, I know what you mean. Too much anger in me, too. Guilty. Can't help it sometimes. What you're yelling about, btw, deserves to be in caps. It NEEDS to be said, read, and spread. And, yes, YELLED!!!!!!!!!!!!

Visualize IMPEACHMENT!!!!!!!!!
Then go DO something about it.

7. Reminds me of a remark I just heard on CNN, I forget from whom,
but the basic point was the disconnect between the politicians all congratulating themselves, and the people saying there's no help coming.

11. Telling the truth, as Clark is doing, is not politicizing.
Edited on Thu Sep-01-05 11:41 PM by Clarkie1
At the same time, it leads to the political question Clark has raised once again, "Where is the leadership?"

Ohh...I'd love to see Clark on with Frist!

Then just this morning, the President claimed that no one could have anticipated the levee breaches we've seen in New Orleans after Katrina hit. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4204754.stm
That's not leadership, that's an excuse.

In fact, people have predicted this kind of disaster for many years, including President Bush's own FEMA in 2001, when they ranked hurricane flood damage to New Orleans among the three likeliest, most catastrophic disasters facing America. Instead, funding was significantly cut back, leaving key engineering projects on hold. Instead,
this Administration focused on the war in Iraq, tax cuts, and private sector economic growth without asking the American people to make needed sacrifices for the good of the country. Again I ask you, where is the leadership?

21. I don't hear Clinton or the others voicing this criticism.
I really would like to hear more democrats following the lead of those like Clark and others who are simply telling the truth about the administration's responsibility for the magnitude of this tragedy.

19. Frist's family business (HCA) is involved with Tulane U Hospital in NO
Heard on one of the cable newschannels earlier today:

A doctor from Tulane U Hospital was talking about getting patients out of NO and HCA was mentioned.

Sorry that I can't tell more because more was not said.

Just wait till we have a handle on the NO situation, and then the 06 elections will be coming up.

Then you will experience "politicizing" (or as we in the Dem party like to call telling the truth) with a vengeance, more than you can deal with, you Terry Schaivo diagnoser from a distance fraud!

22. Why? Because we refuse to remain silent this time when their criminal
negligence and deliberate incompetance are so obvious this time around - just like prior to 911?

IT IS OUR DUTY TO BE "POLITICAL" ON THIS AND THIS IS EXACTLY THE PROPER TIME TO POINT OUT THEIR FAILURES!

Maybe we can get them removed and imprisoned this time!

23. Hmm, "politicizing" is that when you call it like you see it? Is it
"politicizing" when you hold the people who govern you accountable for their actions? For their decisions? For their INACTION? For their failed policies? Hmm, "politicizing"? I think they can call it whatever they want. Those in control, those in power ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS COLOSSAL FAILURE! PERIOD! THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DISMANTLE FEMA? AND CUT FUNDING FOR NECESSARY PROGRAMS THAT PROTECT AMERICANS!
