Congress still off until Tuesday?
Other than some House committee meetings, Congress is still off for the Labor Day Weekend.

Why?

Link to CSPAN still shows that Congress will not return until Tuesday:

How many more of us will die?

Why no emergency session to deal with this catastrophe?

Mothers in New Orleans are holding their babies up in the air begging someone to come rescue their children.

Congress can't be bothered to get back to work.

50% of the police force have walked off the job because they say they can't protect themselves and their families.

We need Congress back in session to impeach Bush for dereliction of duty.

"Now watch this drive"

1. Congress...
..passed 10.5 billion last night in an emergency session without formal vote. Some news station said that they will vote as a formality on it today - but either way, it's passed.

2. thanks
Still early where I am, so I am not fully up to speed.

My main point is that we have all allowed this disaster to happen by allowing this corrupt, evil administration to rape our treasury by giving tax cuts to Paris Hilton and sending our National Guard to fight an Oil War in Iraq.

The 10.5 billion dollar fund should be named "Operation Close-the-Barn-door-after-the-Horse-has-left-the-Building"

"Don't buy gas if you don't need it," (Bush) said in Oval Office remarks with his father and Clinton at his side.

Former First Lady Barbara Bush said of the war in Iraq: "Why should we hear about body bags and deaths? It's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?"
