Breaking..Bush on CNN: "We are going to help rebuild Trent Lotts house."
Just got done stating that. Said he is looking forward to sitting on his new patio.

Statement just made by him now.

www.cnn.com (they may have audio on his statement now).

Unfucking believable. FOr anyone who saw this, he said it with his smirk and a laugh. People are dying all over that city and that jackass has the balls to say he is looking forward to sitting on Trent's new patio.

5. what?!?
you'd think I wouldn't be surprised by anything this moron says...

Talk about a direct correlation to Marie Antoinette...

Anyone who isn't f*ing rich watching that would have to be appalled.

wow. I'm just stunned.

He isn't even working very hard to pretend to care anymore, is he?

7. You're shitting us!
This is ridiculous! This person is truly, absolutely clueless. I just had an epiphany about this situation. I flashed back to the fiasco of the post-Rodney King turbulence of May 1992. I just knew in my gut that Bush could not be reelected at that point. I think people will recoil in dissatisfaction with the current turbulence of this botched disaster management.

no capacity to appreciate the 'other's' view (and Trent Lott is not the 'other'
no capacity to receive or give love

unbridled capacity to create chaos amongst everyone around them

if he did - my god worlds fail me - we really are dealing with an insane person. Time to ratchet up the 23rd Amendment and get the man some of the treatment he needs while we can get on with saving people's lives.

14. He is scared fucking shitless of Trent
I'm NOT joking, either. Trent still has clout, he is pissed at Chimp for the poor treatment he got after the Strom thing, and he had NO kind words for the way this lame post-hurricane effort had been going.

The chimp was PLACATING Trent...so much for his "leadership" if he is still scared shitless of a displaced, disgraced, but vengeful former Majority Leader, who still has more connections than Frist could ever hope for.

That idiotic sentence tells us much more than many realize. And it, along with the cake eating and guitar strumming, will come back to haunt him--count on it.

15. And just last year
after we got pummeled by Hurricane Ivan TWICE, Senator Sphinctorum told his own constituents they would not be receiving ANYTHING from the Federal government.

One year later, parts of Carnegie, Bridgeville, Etna and Millvale are still recovering.

But we will help rebuild Trent Lott's house. HOW FUCKING NICE!

19. UNOFFICIAL Transcript
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2005/09/20050902-2.html

I dont know if they edited this or not, cause i didn't see the briefing. So I dont know if these are his exact words or not.

"We've got a lot of rebuilding to do. First, we're going to save lives and stabilize the situation. And then we're going to help these communities rebuild. The good news is -- and it's hard for some to see it now -- that out of this chaos is going to come a fantastic Gulf Coast, like it was before. Out of the rubbles of Trent Lott's house -- he's lost his entire house -- there's going to be a fantastic house. And I'm looking forward to sitting on the porch. (Laughter.)"

28. The response was worse
The fact that anybody laughed was worse than the comment. Nothing Bush says is even important anymore- we KNOW he has no human feelings toward anyone but himself, a true narcissist. BUT how could ANYONE- governor or senator or mayor- ANYONE not recoil at even standing next to him much less laughing at his jokes?

Eventually anybody with any self-respect has to say 'NO MORE'.

21. What he was trying to say...
is that even rich and powerful people like Trent Lott have been impacted by this. As usual, he did a lousy job of expressing it.

27. That's how it came across...
and maybe that's how he meant it.

But I think, for public consumption at least, he meant to point out how this impacted everyone, even Trent Lott.

The problem is that even if he was being genuine he can't even express it right. He's so used to faking it he can't help himself...

30. Wow, all the political instincts of a dog....
I imagine, if anything, that most people want to blame the politicians. Lord knows, they don't give two shits about Trent Lott, nor his house.

BTW, his primary residence is in Washington, this is just the place he has to go back to from time to time to backslap and gladhand with the Southern Gentry that owns MS.
