They got the people at the Ritz out immediately when they heard they were
trapped? They found 18 buses for them immediately ? And they can't get water to the people in the Convention Center! Odd that these people have already been flown home and given shelter and provisions at another Ritz in Houston, but we can't do anything for the rest of the city. And they put them at the head of the line, ahead of even the hospital patients. This is an admission of the class war.America should revolt! This is sickening!Once again, I am ashmed to be an American under this Administration.

1. There was story earlier
That the Ritz - I thought - had called up buses for the people - the people paid $45. each for a seat and the buses were "commandeered" by the gov't - a couple days ago.

2. This was the Hyatt account today - 3:34 P.M.
3:34 P.M. - (AP) "The evacuation of Superdome refugees was interrupted briefly when school buses rolled up so some 700 guests and employees from the Hyatt hotel. They were move to the head of the line to be evacuated -- much to the amazement of those who had been crammed in the stinking Superdome for days.

The 700 had been trapped in the Hyatt just like the others, but conditions were considerably cleaner, even without running water, than the unsanitary crush inside the dome."

3. If I remember correctly....
weren't there a bunch of doctors for a convention there? One of our DUers mentioned that he had a friend there.

But doctors? That would probably explain it.
