Rebuild New Orleans and Mississippi with the WPA.

I was wondering. When it comes time to rebuild, could a version of the old WPA be used as a means for employment? The poverty there was some of the worst in the country before the disaster, the jobs are gone now. Couldn't the Fed employ and rebuild at the same time?

So the answer, regretfully, is no chance.

WPA was a godsend, but it'll never happen again, I'm afraid.
