Anderson Cooper ripped Trent Lott a new one on live interview

Watching right now. Cooper biting on Trent Lott's ankles, and not letting go.

Trent says he is happy with federal gov. response. Cooper asking why?

Trent responds platitudes. Cooper, in disbelief keep pressing.

Trent deflects...

Cooper says people around him, in dire straits, are asking why the government is not there for them, and taking so long.

Trent had the gall to say that "real people don't ask those things, only the media".

Cooper chews trent's head off, telling him all people around him, as they speak, are asking that very question.

Trent fucking Lott says only the media are making it look that way. Then Trent lowered the bar even further that saying that he doesn't understand all this complaining, because the feds are working as hard as they can to provide relief, and we shouldn't criticize them.

My head almost exploded at that point.

He was a BULLDOG with Lott...and Lott deserved it! Kept interrupting him every time he tried to spew more political bull about how people should not be complaining and how he KNOWS what this is like because he has BEEN through storms before. Yeah, right...
