say what Brian Williams has been saying tonight on the nightly news. He actually said that the pResident's visit was staged and it was far from the reality of the situation. How many of the things this admin says does not match reality. We have know this for 5 years! 5 years of total frustration and the constant hope that "this one is the downfall" that the emperors clothes have finally come off.

I thought I was ashamed as I could be to be an American, over the last 2 1/2 years with the Iraq debacle, I was wrong. I am more and more ashamed every day watching the New Orleans debacle.

I almost too passionately love Keith Olbermann. He worked here in L.A. for quite awhile. I worked at KTLA, Channel Five, as a writer-producer when he was the sports guy. He was brilliant and witty then, too, but confined it to sports. I'm not a sports fan, but I never missed his segment in the evening newscast, when ordinarily, that would have been my signal to slip out of the newsroom and take a bathroom break. Not with him around. He's just WUNNNNNNNNNderful and always made all of us laugh, and I'm so glad to see how he's branched out and is kicking ass with "Countdown." And he was nice to everybody around him, underlings or no. Clearly you have excellent and elegantly-refined taste in men-of-conviction. I think NBC oughta take a chance and elevate him to the "Nightly News" as lead anchor, making Brian Williams senior something or other, because Olbermann's work is truly unique and a real stand-out among all the other talking suits. Besides, I think he's kinda cute...
