....just commented on how helicopters had to cease operations at sunset.ANOTHER Big Lie people! I was on choppers in ancient days(1972) and even then your basic Huey could do night VFR.Most modern helicopters are night IFR/night vision equipped-Think about it military/lifestar/coastguard operations are ALL continued though all weather and visibility conditions.EVEN an old Huey could land all night long using an lz perimeter guard and a guide with a flashlight.And let's not even get into it how impossible it is to operate trucks and busses at night!!!
I won't even go into how many times we've been told US combat troops "Own The Night"....now a smattering of armed whackos can deny a US city to our mighty military???
I don't know what these excuses mean but I no the difference between horsesense and horseshit...and I ain't likin' the smell here...

If I had to guess at what is going on, I think they don't have enough Guardsmen for the three state disaster area. They are not all there yet. They had to reactivate some units didn't they? Hell I don't know, I just have to think it is incompetence at this point. They are getting hammered by the media like I have never seen.
