We've got a lot of rebuilding to do. First, we're going to save lives and stabilize the situation. And then we're going to help these communities rebuild. The good news is -- and it's hard for some to see it now -- that out of this chaos is going to come a fantastic Gulf Coast, like it was before. Out of the rubbles of Trent Lott's house -- he's lost his entire house -- there's going to be a fantastic house. And I'm looking forward to sitting on the porch.G.W.Bush

Worst president ever! IS this asshole really this out of touch?

2. He's what's called a sociopath.
They have no true emotions like the rest of us. They learn how to mimic them while growing up, but never feel them.

4. Trent and his plastic hair
are totally out of touch. How nice for HIM, he will be able to reclaim some hefty insurance no doubt, and probably have the whole beach to himself. Heard him being interviewed by Anderson Cooper, and it was the most pathetic boot-licking ass-kissing of W. you could imagine...

10. OH OH, and I forgot this
Anderson kept hammering Lott on this point that many folks were really angry that the military, especially the National Guard, were stretched so thing because of Iraq, that there was nobody here to help our own citizens. Lott countered with "well, really, nobody is saying that..." and Anderson jumped all over him TWICE with the name, date, and STREET CORNER on which he had stood and talked to a 'nobody' about that point...:freak:

12. LOL Holy shit, maybe some of the 'reporters' in the studios learned
a thing or two by going outside! Confronted with enough ugly truth, many seem to be off the Rove Cheering Squad! The folks in the executive suits at those networks must be having ulcer attacks between calls from the WH spinners and the mutiny of the on air personalities!

:woohoo:

13. Are you saying that U.S. Senator Trent Lott (R, Mississippi)
.
Are you saying that U.S. Senator Trent Lott (R, Mississippi) rode in a military vehicle with his wife to the site of their former home in Mississippi? Are you kidding? Under wtf legal guise was that perpetrated? Under the "legal" guise of "I-am-who-I-am-and-f*ck-you" with his nose in the air? Oh.

How and why do folks continue to vote for these in-yer-face b*stards? Of course, Lott has one of the biggest Senate pork-barrel kick-backs in existence!! Didn't Lott push an amendment to an appropriations bill . . . a huge military aircraft carrier to be built in a Navy shipyard (private contractors) in Mississippi despite the bald-assed fact that the military/pentagon NEVER ASKED FOR IT nor wanted it? Yeah, he did.

15. Even "Mr. I wish Storm was President"
isn't crowing about rebuilding his McMansion in Mississippi. I guess Lott knows he would be rode out of state on a rail.

I find it fascinating that Trent was too gauche for the Bushies with comment about Storm, but the President finds it acceptable to mention Lott's Ncmansion as a symbol of this tragedy.
