I know that a lot of people are planning on going to Washington on September 24 in a peace protest. Well, the core value behind wanting peace is the respect and value for human life. No where has the disregard for human life by our government been more evident than in New Orleans.
I'd like to see the protests increased to include a protest against the criminal neglect our government has shown toward the citizens of New Orleans, and across the gulf. The actions of this Administration have been disgraceful. They need to know how we feel about that.
A primary way we can show how we feel is by telling them, in person in Washington, by protesting their shameful behavior.
This Administration is a disgrace. I also don't want every country in the world to believe we support the revolting inaction of our government in the US gulf in any way whatsoever. By protesting, we make that point very clearly.
Mainstream America does not support genocide against the impoverished.
