1. Don't know how big GB is

but the hurricane effected area is estimated at 70,000 square miles.

on edit: according to the CIA GB is 96,525 square miles

2. That's undoubtedly true, but a lot of that area is country-side

The majority of the people are concentrated in or near towns and cities which SHOULD facilitate their relief.
