Nobody knows.... A "permanent address" will probably be one which means "not in a shelter" or " not receiving assistance" or anything the Texas state election board (with De Lay's help) can conjure to keep the largest number of them from voting.

I don't believe the GOP will let that happen in the runup to an election - the PR would just be too terrible.

Red enough to absorb any "blue" that happens to show up at the voting booth.

This is gerrymandering on a human scale, my friends. Instead of having the power to make LA blue (in case they're holding a grudge over losing everything, or anything like that...), they are being brought to where NONE of that blue will make a difference. They won't need black box for this one.

I find that interesting, don't you?

P.S. Those remaining in LA, though, will probably be dicked around with over lack of permanent addresses, and such. The Democratic Party should be looking into a contingency plan for getting these people "legal" before 2006, and definitely by 2008.
