Repugs deflecting blame: "Anybody But Bush"

How interesting it is the GOP barking dogs using the same motto the left used in the 2004 elections (ABB, "Anybody But Bush"). Unfortunately they are not claiming that Bush should immediately resign and appoint someone with a clue do his job.

Nope. They are looking for someone to blame. Anyone but the Golden Boy. In spite of the overwhelming evidence of federal mismanagement of this operation, his budget cuts to FEMA, his budget cuts to the Army Corps of Engineers and the maintenance of NOLA levees, and his response to the catastrophe nearly 5 days late... they are trying to pin this mess on "anybody but Bush."

They are aiming for Governor Blanco (a Democrat, and a female), despite he fact she pleaded the federal government for desperate help since August 28. Now they are also targeting NOLA's mayor, despite his desperate SOS for the people of the city, which Bush took almost 5 days to respond to.

Bullshit. That ship has sailed, folks. The entire planet has been a witness to the Bush administration's colossal failure of leadership and care for their own people.

No amount of spin can turn this around. Don't let them.

I think the one thing on "our" side is that MSM has been deeply affected and changed by this. They were changing a little before this but I think even they won't be happy with vague and pat answers. bush and gang got away with what they have for so long in part because of the stupid press, made more timid by 9/11 crap. 9/11 as the answer to all doesn't work any more gang.

bush being an idiot would have mattered less if the people he appointed were not also idiot cronies. If FEMA, Homeland Security and the NG had gotten things coordinated and evacuated people pronto and got them medical care and food/water as they waited, we wouldn't have to hate bush as much for this. His eating cake, playing guitar and inappropriate use of time would be disgusting, but not the focus. These people would be our focus.

But this is so horrible, so badly managed, the torture of our people right before our eyes while they ...while they what?...is just unforgivable. Criminal. Evil.

He mentioned several times in today's press conference that he "always pointed how important was to prepare for catastrophic events," and how often he reminded his underlings of this since his tenure in Homeland Security. Talk about ass-covering!!!

Well, we see the "results" of how much he "cared" and "pointed" this to his team. We can see it, fucker!
