Trent Lott Thinks Bush Is Doing Dandy
by Michael in New York - 9/03/2005 01:36:00 PM

This was last night (Friday) on CNN (hey, there's a lot to keep track of). Anderson Cooper asked more tough, reasonable questions and politicans like Trent Lott show how completely divorced from reality they are.

Cooper: So you're pleased with the Federal government's response?

Lott: I AM pleased with the federal government's response...this is not a time for complaining...I am really shocked at the comments that are coming.

Yes, how DARE anyone question why Bush and Cheney stayed on vacation and Condi WENT on vacation after the worst natural disaster in our nation's history.

1. He's been promised a new house. What's he got to complain about?

2. Not a time for evaluation, getting it right or any accountability
Most of us have to perform competently in order to stay employed. In Bush's administration incompetence gets you a medal.

5. Lott is a relic of the pre-Katrina America
He's no longer relevant. He sounds stupid already, doesn't he? Not just to you, but to my Republican neighbor - who was talking animatedly about impeaching Bush this morning. Dinosaurs like Lott don't realize that they have become the last of their kind. Soon they will be extinct. They have been wiped out by Katrina.

7. I want to hear what Biden and Feinstein have to say...
Biden will probably give a token slap to Bush, then give him a big, wet kiss on the cheek. That's his usual modus operandi.

Dianne, on the other hand, will wait until no one is paying attention and then slip in a message of support.

Mark my words, Why would they change now, unless the tide overwhelmingly turns against Bush?

8. give him a big pachyderm hug, because Trent Lott is so right!!!
those damn Republicans have every right to whine about looters, such a heavy burden being placed on successful taxpayers' backs, high gas prices, or helping all those fools in New Orleans!! Why the hell should should they be blamed for an unprepared and unresponsive federal government? If I was Bush, I would be screaming my head off too!!

These poor politicians
