What would Kerry/Edwards do ?
Of course, I know what the opposition party would be doing now ! And yes, it would be ugly and political and, oh yeah, remember what they did over a blow-job ? And it cost our citizens 72 million dollars.

Dems really need to rally now more than ever, remember, nobody died over that blow job

1. to begin with, they wouldn't have vetoed the money
to fix the levees, and they would have been in town at the beginning of the disaster, not 3 days later after they had finished their little events.

2. Got a better question. What ARE Kerry, Edwards, Dean, and Hilary
doing NOW? Who will finally step up and be our voice? Obama, are you out there?

4. You can Google them......
I know they're raising money for the Red Cross right now, and Obama's calling for a congressional investigation into the slow response. Sorry if I wasn't clear, but I think I meant to post "What would the Kerry/Edwards opposition party being doing now" !

Welcome to DU Dan :hi:

5. I got your point, and things couldn't have been handled any worse,
but we need to hear from these guys quick. How about Joe Biden? How about Tennesee's favorite son? Most of all, will someone Please convince Clinton to stop defending Shrub.

6. OK, just saw another thread that says Gore has been personally
flying supplies in. Haven't seen this reported, but sure speaks volumes if true.

12. He is coordinating flying 150 people back to Tenessee to hospitals
This was such a mess that they could not get the right forms signed, so he went himself.

He should be commended for that.

This said, the Dem senators (some at least) and congresspeople are trying to work with the administrations so that more help is coming. Seems Landrieu is working hard on that and is requiring the help of whatever ranking member she can find. Just doing their job, of course, but if they can get things ready for Tuesday, this may help too.

10. The only positive thing I've heard the Democrats do so far
is to push a bill for repeal of the Bankruptcy Law (which the Republicans quickly voted down).

Other than that, I haven't really heard anything. Great opportunity to show leadership - gone.

14. Kerry...
Just returned from a week in Iraq last night. I expect we will hear more on that when the Katrina disaster is more in control.
