Notice he stemmed the tide for one day with his photo-op visit but that's gone. That ABC poll people are bummed about was done when he visited, too, which is why it wasn't worse. It would be worse now, believe me.

The Midwest region should really have republicans freaking out. In the midwestern states 62%of all respondents disapprove of his handling. This is the bible belt y'all. Sorry, electricray, but they are going to vote the way Diebold and ES&S say they voted.

All our votes are being counted by Bushite electronic voting machine companies, using SECRET, PROPRIETARY programming code--code so secret that not even our elected secretaries of state have the right to review it. Our elections have become completely non-transparent and unverifiable. And this insanity has been made possible by bipartisan corruption among election officials and others in the $4 billion boondoggle of electronic voting. It's going to be tough to change, but we MUST do it. WE MUST!

My suggestion: Throw Diebold and ES&S election theft machines into 'Boston Harbor' NOW (or the nearest Louisiana levee). That's what we need to do.

The truth is we have DON'T KNOW how any state really voted. And I'm not going to judge any state as "red" or "blue" until we have transparent elections.

We need...

Paper ballots hand-counted at the precinct level (--Canada does it in one day, although speed should not even be a consideration, just accuracy and verifiability)

or, at the least...

Paper ballot (not "paper trail") backup of all electronic voting, a 10% automatic recount, strict security, and NO SECRET, PROPRIETARY programming code! (...jeez!).

14. The limits of polls-- esp one that could not contact a million survivors

I do think that polls, to a certain extent, do reflect trends in the thinking of people. But there are problems. In this one, first off, is that whole chunk of the population could not be contacted. If they called one person on the list that happened to be a number in NO, he may be still treading water without a working phone line.

But even beyond this is the limit of the question itself. Basically here is a yes/no question. One cannot see here the intensity of the No/Yes. We do not know this for sure, but it could be the many of the No, the Pres is not doing a good job, is not doing a good job, but they feel that very strongly. The people that believe he is may believe it very tentatively.

If one talks to co-workers, friends, family that are not political, and ask them there views on different issues, their answers are difficult to categorize oftentimes.

We'll see. I think that's a problem. Jesse Jackson had a great idea. Relocate the people to the abandoned bases in Louisiana and give them jobs in the reconstruction. Lou Dobbs agreed with him immediately.

There are so many places where * will get nailed. I think having a head of FEMA who had 10 years previous experience as the head of an Arabian horse association, which f'ing fired him. Horses - natural disaster relief, sure that makes perfect sense.

Speaking of fixing. I just heard Laura Flanders say that when he was in Biloxie and told one woman there to go to the Salvation Army food distribution down the road, there was confusion.

It seems that the confusion came from the fact that the food distribution center had not existed until AF1 arrived. And it disappeared when AF1 left. So the poor woman was unable to find it.

They are capable of ANY lie and we must never, ever believe a word they say until there is a trustworthy source to back it up.
