Seeing people in the Bush Administration on TV now makes me feel...

...physically ill. I've seen too much death and suffering in the aftermath of Katrina. I've seen too much evidence of deriliction of duty by this Administration.

Now, when I see them, I literally feel physically ill. I wish they'd just stay in Washington and off the TV so I don't have to look at them. How they can show their face in public after what they've done, I don't know. I guess it just shows how shameless and without compassion they are.

We should write Congress and urge them to tell this Administration to stay out of the press to avoid further traumatizing the US public in the wake of Katrina. I don't want to see them, I don't want to hear them, and I don't want to deal with more of their lies. Enough! They need to just stay huddled in the White House so we don't have to look at them.

Larry King just said George H W Bush is going to be on his show tomorrow night, and I'm going to email CNN and let them know how I feel. Surely, someone somewhere cares about the pain we feel because of this.

The irony just slaps you in the face.

Here is another one in tomorrow's NYT: "White House Enacts a Plan to Ease Political Damage".
They aren't working on a plan to deal with over 500,000 people who are now homeless, jobless, or how to quickly drain NO, clean it up and rebuild it. Nope, as with everything else in the Administration, only spin and politics matter.

3. You Can Never Again Pretend There was a Limit to These People

I don't think people will ever get over--and I hope they don't--the sight and sound of modern-day Americans drowning, starving, parched and dehydrated, dying in the streets of a city everyone can name, and having to be left there, pleading for help, and being ignored--all while the supposed "Commander in Chief" strums a guitar, has a photo-op eating cake, and grinning like a selfish rich idiot. Then when the rich people finally do get around to responding some days later, it is this haphazard, disorganized shit that is only traumatizing people even worse. It is as if the entire modern world is wiped away, and some Medieval horror rises up, of floods killing the poor, and no rich "banquet-attendee" can be bothered to even look up. "Mission Accomplished."

"I've been watching the aftermath of Katrina and I'm horrified. The failures of the Federal Government are the worst deriliction of duty - their most important duty, to keep Americans safe! Now, when I see Bush Administration officials on TV I literally feel physically ill. I know they don't care about us, and I resent their lies and them going on TV to cast blame anywhere except where it belongs.

Please, have some mercy for your viewers who are in pain over what's happened in the US Gulf Coast. Don't show the Bush Administration. At least not now, not while we hurt. When I see them on TV, I can't look at them - I have to turn away and turn the TV off. Someone somewhere has to care about how we feel! Show us people who are being rescued, people who are being cared for, the Coast Guard who have been heros since day 1. But don't show us those who are responsible for the 2nd disaster of Katrina.

I can't understand how the US could have come to this - headed by a government who cares nothing at all about the people they are sworn to serve.
