What we need is a committee that will ask honest questions, demand honest answers, and connect whatever dots get placed on the map.
What we do NOT need is something like the bullshit hearings we had into 9/11 .... fragmented, restricted in scope, and headed and peopled by partisan hacks.
What we do NOT need is Haley Barbour reprising the role of Thomas Keane.
What we do NOT need is a constricting limitation on scope so that Commission A looks at the local responses while Commission B looks at the military responses while Commission C looks at the Boy Scouts' responses. What we do NOT need is a series of commissions, each with a limited scope and each plugged directly into Rove's fat, pudgy brain.
But with the partisan nature of our entire country - on both sides - who would we even seat at the table?
I can, as I am sure you can, name many who are **qualified** to do the job ...... but who might be accepted by all sides as being honest and non-partisan?
Can anyone name a chair and co-chair? Commission members?
