So, we're inundated with self-serving Public Relations spin (produced more like Public Service announcements) from Big Oil companies to let us know how much they are doing to protect the environment and the community. Their websites have multiple pages dedicated to self-aggrandizing back-patting on how careful and caring they are.
After several quarters of OBSCENE record profits, it's time for them to give a lil' sump'en-sump'en back to those of us who hurt a little every time we fill the tank (which fills their coffers) -- and I mean it is time for them to give 'til it
hurts!
Please join me in writing to these paragons of compassion and community service asking them to donate in no small way to the Katrina hurricane relief effort.
My expectation is no less than $5 BILLION DOLLARS from each company.
