Did anyone watch Reid and Frist press conferences (on CSPAN)?

Reid is terrific. He said he was very unhappy that some were politizing the relief effort. When asked to identify who, he said last night and today, some reported that state and local officials failed - he said that it was the federal government's responsibility to lead the effort, and that the federal government did not do a good job.

Later Frist outlined some of the problems he saw on the ground as a doctor. He said the communication systems were nonexistent. He said the Homeland Security Committee would do an assessment and there would be more later on what had to be changed.

He also said no vote tomorrow on estate tax repeal. Priorities shifting to address relief, reconstruction, incentives for victims.

1. after the Schiavo fiasco, the Kat Killer shouldn't lean so heavily on
his doctorin' assessments.

Just sayin'.

3. Yup. Table estate tax till he's president.
He sees an opening and he's going for it.

NEVER FORGET THIS IS THE GENIUS WHO DIAGNOSED SCHIAVO. He took a big hit on that and he's busy busy busy repairing the damage.

If he keeps this up, it's a no contest nomination.

Now, who WE got?

8. he's ready to stomp Republican Bush as, Frist is, but I wouldn't trust
him as far as I could throw him to be our President. However, thanks Frist for postponing the Estate Tax Repeal and didn't he also stop the Roberts hearings for now?

6. There's Reid defending Blanco
but the press doesn't run it as a headline, so some people will miss it :(

He also was a signer of the Blanco letter to bush requesting a federal point person to deal with.

7. Good for Harry Reid
He has been in there fighting hard for our side, and after his small stroke I've been concerned for his health.
