ROVE: "turn the discussion to what the government is doing now"
White House Enacts a Plan to Ease Political Damage directed by Karl Rove, and Dan Bartlett.

Orchestrating visits by cabinet members to the region directed administration officials not to respond to attacks from Democrats on the relief efforts, and sought to move the blame for the slow response to Louisiana state officials.

It began late last week after Congressional Republicans called White House officials to register alarm about what they saw as a feeble response by Mr. Bush to the hurricane, according to Republican Congressional aides.

Bush returning to Louisiana and Mississippi on Monday; his first visit, on Friday, left some Republicans cringing, in part because the president had little contact with residents left homeless.

Example, administration officials who went on television on Sunday were instructed to avoid getting drawn into exchanges about the problems of the past week, and to turn the discussion to what the government is doing now. (Karl, you're sooo yesterday)

2. If you want to really be ill, read about Rove at Wikipedia -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_Rove

Truly horrifying and pretty much explains everything we have seen. This "man" is following a pattern. He should be in prison.

3. Rove's a slick SOB. he's applied everything that went wrong with
watergate, scientifically designed/figured how to use attack/smear campaigns, to ruin/destoy anyone some people stopped breathing type tactics.

I wonder what he has planned for Fitzgerald, that's the 64 dollar question...!

5. We need to turn the discussion about how the Repubs ideas DON'T WORK...
Edited on Mon Sep-05-05 10:10 PM by Wordie
The "streamlining" of federal agencies (putting so many of them under Homeland Security) DIDN'T WORK.

The handpicking of political cronies for crucial positions (BROWN, at FEMA, handpicked by Bush friend and former head of FEMA, Albaugh) DIDN'T WORK.

The tax cuts, DIDN'T WORK...and now we are even needing to take money from other countries because of this disaster. It was "our money" but where is it now that we need it??? (Actually, he was right, it was "our money" but what he didn't understand is that government IS US, and holds our money in trust, so that it will be there when we need it.)
