This is FUCKING outrageous. Its so GD obvious that BUSH wanted the damage as severe as possible, more big ass no-bid contracts to let that way.

Telling me there isn't ONE contractor in all of Louisiana,Mississippi that can't or doesn't deserve that contract over Halliburton??

1. Another outrage by shrub and his cronies
Have we heard the impeachment cry loud enough yet?? They don't care anything about local Gulf coast contractors. It's all about their greed, corruption and power.

I think they just want the land.

3. Haliburton has become such a corporate beast
I don't know if there are other companies that can compete with them anymore when it comes to large-scale oil-related logistics.

4. I'm hoping the Governor of LA (and MS) will step in.....
she said something yesterday in her press conf about instituting a Marshall-type Plan for the people of LA to rebuild their state.

Also, keep in mind that Halliburton got their contract before the people of NO got food and water!!! That's shutting a lot of people up fast.

5. We need to bombard our leaders...
...Senate/House/Dem/Rep with our outrage. This is our money they are spending. We can't just sit back and hope they'll take care of it. Remind them they have an election in 2006.

A while back CSPAN showed a panel discussion on Halliburton. I think Larry Johnson was on it. They listed the atrocities this company has committed...like feeding our troops food that had gone way past the expiration date. The amount of money they have wasted is staggering. E-mail CSPAN and ask them to show it again.

6. 3 days ago I had posted that, a friend told me...
http://www.bushsamerica.com/index.php/2005/09/03/halliburton_hired_for_storm_cleanup_befo

that it was a standing contract that they won before the hurricane. He said those naval stations are shit holes...

Not sure if he is right.

7. Look at the date.
Reporting on 9/1 that the govt. had asked Halliburton to rebuild. That didn't take long. Oh, yeah, it was faster than their lame-ass disaster aid. Nice.
