For four long years we have heard the Bush** Administration say how they, and they alone, can protect this nation. They have frightened us with "dirty bomb" scenarios and "mushroom cloud" scenarios. Bush** says he will stand up to any threat and that only he has the plan to keep America safe.
Keep us safe? How can anyone with any shred of intelligence continue to believe the lies that spew from Bush** et al? Katrina was on the map for days. DAYS!! This was no suprise attack. This was no 9/11 or London Bombing. This was not sleeper cells. This was a gigantic fucking storm that was on every news channel, every newspaper, every radio in the country. Where was the "Emergency Response"? Where was the oft-touted "Homeland Security"?
The Administration's negligence has cost untold innocent lives. Political cronyism, massive tax cuts for the wealthy, and fighting two unneccesary/illegal wars have gutted our infrastructure and resources. This Adminstration has demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that its allegiance lies with the rich, white, Haves and Have-Mores.
Bush** et al have continued to preach the doctrine of "Homeland Security" and "Constant Vigilance" while simultaneously gutting funding for those very things. Bush on vacation....that's all we get...Bush on vacation.
