It just occured to me, the current vote count, and any exit polls, reflect people who, for whatever reason, didn't have to work today. I suspect a lot more folks with conventional hour jobs will stop on the way home from work. In my mind I picture these as the more conservative of the democratic party. So I don't think there will be much validity in polls from earlier in the day. Different people come out at night.

That's Dean's strongest bloc. I tend to think they vote during the day, too.

I just got these numbers from a Kennedy source.

6. My parents vote during day, workers vote after 5pm

And people with families vote after dinner. The polling places around my area always have long lines after 5pm.

8. My guess is that alot of Dean supporters voted early

Because early exit polls said that 51% of the exited voters called themselves liberal, and this group trends heavily toward Dean, according to tracking polls earlier this week.
