New Meme: It was OUR money and YOU spent it...
Edited on Thu Sep-08-05 07:47 PM by Wordie
I just heard on MSNBC that there have already been 10,000 applications for unemployment insurance as a result of Katrina. Can our economy handle this, PLUS the Iraq war, PLUS the deficit, all of which have been exacerbated (beyond repair?) by the welfare-for-the-rich tax cut.

I'm thinking that at this point this idea might resonate with the American people, no matter WHAT party. The former federal surplus was like a savings account for the American people...for a rainy day. Well, it sure rained in NO, and we are going to be sorely stretched to take care of our own.

5. The economy was already headed back into the tank
this will just accelerate it.

How about that obscene give-away to the usurers, the "bankruptcy bill"? That one's going to create some more anti-neo-cons too.
