Edwards a lightweight?
There seems to be fear that the whores will be able to paint JRE as too inexperienced.

Fer Chrissakes, the guy who was sworn in 3 years ago HAS NEVER DONE AN HONEST DAY'S WORK IN HIS LIFE! If he hadn't been born with a silver spoon us his nose, he'd be living in a cardboard box.

This seems to be easily countered.

3. Can you think of someone else
who was sworn in 3 years ago, is a rich coke-head, and has never worked in his life?

4. You put Edward's experiences next to Bush's and it becomes painfully clear
Edited on Tue Jan-27-04 06:30 PM by AP
that the only reasonable response for Bush would be to call it a life.

5. Edwards counters this in his stump speeches.
The bit about being looked down on (at first) by the corporate lawyers, and then when he ran against Faircloth. I only worry about this, in the case in which the apolitical masses pick up this line and absorb it as a truism. But if Edwards is the nominee, he will have months to correct this nonsense.

6. A friend of mine heard this -- a very successful, young woman --
heard him saying this on TV. He asks a series of quesitons: "Has anyone ever underestimanted you?...Told you you were too young, or too inexperienced, or not good enough?...Told you..." etc. etc."

After each question, my friends said "Yeah", louder and louder. She'd heard it before. She got really excited.

10. Just looked this up.
Abrham Lincoln had only one term in the House, 1847-49; that was all -- no senate, no governorship. Otherwise, he was a (gasp!!!!) trial lawyer!!!! But somehow, he rose above his inexperience.... :o

12. In fact, Lincoln got elected because he had spent previous years
running around the country giving GREAT SPEECHES about slavery and the state of society.

It wasn't experience, it was ideas and an ability to communicate them that got him elected.

And he was probably the best wartime president ever.

8. Maybe 5-10 or 5-11 and 170ish
And come on, be fair, that's a supermiddleweight not lightweight!

I'd be petrified of Roy Jones Jr. but GW he can whip.

11. And smile ever so pleasantly while doing it.
We don't want the media calling him 'mean', now.
