I was struck by the way Cheney kept looking at the ground
at his live press conference yesterday in NO. You know the one, where some concerned American politely "Mr President" told him what to do. Isn't the avoidance of eye contact one of the characteristics of a LIAR? Why did he hold this photo op,like this bozo really cares. Can't stand to look at his expression, he looks like he would throttle anyone who dared question his Divine right to rule.

1. You notice the guy who told him to fuck himself made sure there was
plenty of security around before he said any thing.

2. Yup--someone who won't look at you in the eye as they say something
is usually lying. Cheney is an asshole. He was too busy vacationing in Wyoming and looking for property in St. Michael's (in Maryland) to run to New Orleans and show his support. His smirk is repulsive, as is the gut he has sticking way out.

4. Oh give him a break!
It is a known fact that cheney is a space lizard, here to take over the earth. He was clearly looking for some nice juicy insects to eat, as he was hungry. Cut the lizard some slack, will ya?

6. Maybe a small point
Maybe not. Cheney was in Mississippi. Perhaps he expected a more adoring crowd there amongst the rich white folks.

9. He was on vacation in Wyoming and, according to Maureen Dowd,
he was looking for $2.7 million property in St. Michael's, Maryland. He was too busy to go to New Orleans.

Isn't our VP a caring individual?

10. Shrub did the same thing the day he finally arrived there
He was in that hangar and he wouldn't look at the camera or the other people in the area. He just kept talking and looking down or off to the side. He was just walking around doing his cheerleading bit. You could tell he was sweating too.

12. I'll give him a little credit there.
Like his interviewer, he was trying to keep a straight face. He too was forced to look at the ground, and I think Cheney caught the mood.

One thing with these neocons, they are so surreal that even their top people have to laugh at the enormity of their own crassness. Remember Porter Goss struggling not to burst out laughing and Bush having to look away to his left?
