Ron Insana on permanent Bush tax cuts to "stimulate" post-Katrina economy
Folks, if you don't want your head to explode, don't watch MSNBC's "Imus In The Morning." You have been warned.

FIRST, Imus said that the post-Katrina rebuilding SHOULD be handled by Halliburton, because they "can do it," and that the effort should be LED BY DICK CHENEY. He said "I know he's a weasel but he could get the job done."

THEN, guest Ron Insana:

...said that Bush will probably insist that the post-Katrina economy needs "stimulation," and the best way to do that is by making his tax cuts permanent.

Because as we ALL KNOW, Bush's "base" used their refunds to create new jobs...the entrepreneurs just went bananas, didn't they?

1. They've done such a great job in Iraq.
Cheney and Halliburton really know how to get the job done, alright. Imus is the weasel.

Ron Insana is a clever little geek who got a Joseph Goebbels Foundation scholarship. He's not a journalist, in the sense that one ordinarily understands the term. MSNBC seems to be filled with these ERW propagandists.

2. Read Briody's The Halliburton Agenda
You will begin to wonder if you are living in the United States of Halliburton. It alsmost seems we have no military, ne security, no nothing without Halliburton's help. Some people in our government seem to think that the only capable organization in the U.S. or even the world is Halliburton. Halliburton is the end-all and be-all in certain segments of the economy and in providing certain public services. And they call that "free enterprise." Ha! It's a joke. We pay for it. And the friends of Halliburton get rich from it.

3. They created jobs all right.
They created jobs (if that's what they are called, I call it slavery) elsewhere.

My neighbour received around $8.00 in the big refund. I wonder what jobs she created.

4. Another way to stimulate the economy is to cut wages

Bush cuts wages in La area

See, economics is really simple. To stimulate the economy, give more money to the rich and less to the poor. I don't know why people don't getthat.

5. One of my worst nightmares
Is that Bush, Cheney, Haliburton and Walmart all come out of this disaster ahead of the game. Walmart is going PR crazy on this thing.

7. They will use it to further their agenda
In a press conference last week, the House GOP leaders were saying that they would be enacting "emergency" measures like economic "stimulus" and removing regulations that are a barrier to rebuilding.

8. might as well call for making the levee breaks permanent too ...
that's what permanent tax cuts will lead to ... we are either going to be a country that invests in its infrastructure and its people or we are each going to "selfishly get what we can" and everyone else be damned ...

i think we've seen more than enough of the latter ...

His sidekicks get away daily with the most racist bullshit spewed in a national TV/Radio show. The guy is scum, nobody should take him seriously.
