Bushes failure to accept responsibility eating him alive

Feds say let 'em eat tax cuts

Instead of properly accepting responsibility for the slow federal response, he tried to push the blame for the chaos down to state and local-level officials, particularly those who happened to be Democratic.

Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., said she felt like punching the president for his chilly reaction to her constituents' suffering. Other local officials tearfully have accused the president of cruelty and negligence.

He attempted to take away Louisiana Democratic Gov. Kathleen Blanco's authority over the National Guard; after she refused, his staff failed to alert her in advance to his second visit to the state -- she discovered the snub by chance and showed up uninvited at the airport.

The president did not go to New Orleans on either trip, ignoring the suffering of thousands of poor blacks trapped there by the rising waters. In Louisiana, he stopped only in relatively safe and dry Baton Rouge.

Bush concentrated his attention on Republican, mostly white Mississippi, where he and GOP Gov. Haley Barbour engaged in an embarrassing partisan lovefest, praising each other's wonderful talents.......

Maybe Bush can pay for this whole mess with another "round of tax cuts"?

1. It's amazing how few people see this.
Most people haven't even considered that both the governors of Mississippi and Alabama are Republican white men, while the governor of Louisiana is a Democratic white woman.

It's so obvious that the aid is based on partisanship. That the slams are partisan. Yet, the sheeple don't "get it."

Amazing.

2. I was debating republicans in Yahoo chat when this came up

they claimed that "There was no looting in Biloxi" so I posted several articles about looters in casinos smashing machines open to get the coins and all of them left the chatroom. They believe whatever they hear on Limbaugh and everything else be damned.

3. The others are getting in on it, too....
Subtle digs at her for being "indecisive" and "waffling." She and the Mayor are both getting it; sexism on her side and racism on his, and party politics on both their parts. DeLay was one of the first to do it, but others have been helping.

4. It's always "Feds" when W does something bad
(used to be always "Clinton" whenever government did something unpopular)

6. Nixon didn't accept responsibility either - Bush will bury himself
courtesy of Karl Rove, just keep trying to place the blame elsewhere, it only shows his ability to lead...and he calls himself the "war president" that is fucking disgusting...!
