Must we play the "Blame Game?"
Yes, because the administration has kicked their "Fantasy Presidency" league into high gear. They are so successful with their "Fantasy Presidency" game because they're so good at capitalizing on the public's ignorance of how government works, rearranging specific facts and the order in which events took place and providing the rosiest of assessments of what the current status is ("Every thing's fine" "What went wrong?").

This began almost immediately. Michael Chertoff, speaking on NPR, called the convention center situation a "rumor." The Prez told the American people on national television (Good Morning America) that no one could have foreseen the levees breaking, even though he'd received two briefings discussing that scenario.

So, one good game deserves another.

3. No one wants to play the blame game

Most especially the ones that are to blame, of course.

4. It's not the blame game
it's the accountability game or, to make it more hip, how about the Accountability Factor?

Blame Game is the rethug name, especially well-used by Scotty, so there needs to be a more coherent and succinct name to be used for this mission. And, make to mistake - it's no game at all, but a mission and effort to get to the bottom of the debacle and hold people accountable.

Well, Maybe Now's Not the Time...

Here's just a sampling about how BushCo. never wants to be held to account:
May 8, 2001
MR. FLEISCHER: The Vice President is not interested, and neither is the President interested in pointing fingers. They're both interested in solving problems.
May 10, 2001
MR. FLEISCHER: I think everybody in government is wrestling with how to solve the problem of drug abuse in America. And what the President has offered today as he named a new drug czar is an approach that is really going to begin to fight this on the demand level, in addition to the supply and interdiction levels. And that's what American families want to hear, and that's what the American people want to hear, is not finger-pointing, but problem-solving.
and on and on it goes....

6. It's not a game. It ceased being a "game" as soon as people...
started dying.

I'm not interested in blame. I merely want those responsible to be held accountable.

Oh yeah - and for *co et al to rot in hell!
