Senator Kerry's office just called me! Someone is listening!!!
The call was in response to mine of Monday, protesting the incompetence of the current administration and their incredible screw-ops in regard to the hurricane victims and everything else. I told him we are all concerned that this country is on a fast downhill roll and we are all scared to death of where we will end up.
I also told him I am signing every possible petition in support of efforts to IMPEACH this whole administration. My rep, John Teirney also answered my call with a lengthy e-mail that supported our positions. I am impressed that they took the time. I was told that the office has been inundated with calls and e-mails and they are trying to answer all of them. I was told that all efforts are being made to make this horrible situation better. No word yet from Kennedy but I'm hoping. Sometimes something happens that gives me a feeling that someone in Washington cares.

6. Welcome to DU!
:hi: I keep hoping that the reason I haven't heard from my Senators all week is that they are working on a way to impeach the idiot.

7. The Demos are boycotting the bogus Repo bi-camaral investigation
of themselves.

That is huge! When do you remember that happening before? they are actually acting like an opposition party.

8. That's nice, but I am more cheered by the legislative list
Hey, Kerry's my Sen and I e-mailed about Katrina's non-response from the Feds and all, but I am more cheered by what the Dems did in coming up with a logical list of things to do now to help the victims of this tragedy.

I liked the way all the Dems were united on this (well, maybe not Leibermann, sigh.) This was well-thought out and would actually help.

Cut the red tape so that victims can get the help they need now.
Medicaid
Unemployment compensation
Job programs
Exempt the victims of Katrina from the harsh provisions of the new Bankruptcy Bill

And so forth. Kerry supports this, as he should. I am very happy that the staff is calling people back. I am even happier Kerry is standing up for traditional Dem values, as his support for the Dem agenda shows.

15. yes actually
There is a guy named Bryan Kennedy who ran against him last time and got 30% or so of the vote. He's already started his campaign for next time. So we'll see!

16. Here's his website
www.bryankennedyforcongress.org

I just proofread the county newsletter, and the county chairman sounds like a real go getter. He's been working to get our infrustructure up to snuff, and now he sound ready to kick some Repub butt. He says he's sick of uncontested races.
