wal mart americas friend or foe?
Who else see that Wal-Mart as a threat to america? I was sitting at Wal Marts today meeting a family member who was shopping there. I noticed two things, first for every one young slender person that went in there was 10 over weight people and elderly people going in. Second thing that I noticed was 6 out of the 10 cars parked around me had I support our troops thins on it Don't thes morons know that 90% of eerything thats sold in Wal mart is made by slave or child labor? Don't they realize that for every $10 they spend there $9 goes to the chinesse goverment? Don't they realize that china was the country thats proped N. Korea up and that china was behind the NK's missle program? Don't these people know that every dollar spent at Wal mart goes into aid for terrorists? They are not supporting the troops when they buy from a bussiness thats under mining the american life style and deals with red china. Sheepicans are so easy to fool.

7. Foe...
I have the images of the turtles in South Florida, that are killed for a new Walmart.

I see the single parent working at Walmart because it is the last job in town, trying to make a living wage. I see the Mom and Pop shops being undersold and run out of business, and the list goes on and on.

They may have given money to the Katrina relief effort but that does not resolve them of their other misdeeds.

I do not shop in Walmart or Sams, my friends and family know to hide the bags and goods they purchase from these stores, or they will hear the "Walmart speech" from me.

2. Foe, and yet I can't afford to shop elsewhere. I gotta remember to bring
"how to unionize" flyers to leave on the shelves when I go there.

6. I'm not a WalMart fan, but I do understand your situation
My sister told me once when I was giving her a hard time for shopping there "Some people would never have new clothes if it wasn't for Walmart".

I shop at Meijer, personally. They are unionized. I also like Target, but they don't have groceries.

3. Neither
The extreme example of the new world order, global economy, low-wage, republican let's become a third world economy movement. If it were not for WalMart, where would the K-Mart workers shop?

8. I don't think you will have to look too hard to find people who
absolute hate, despise, loathe WalMart. Especially here. I'm one of them.

11. I can honestly say i never been in walmart
I guess I'm a throw back of the 60's and 70's, I buy all my clothes and the kids clothes at second hand stores like St. Vincent and Depuals or Good will. In a way its helping those less fortunate then I and the money I spend stays in the community. I have seen the devastation of what happens to small cities due to imports and out sourcing first hand. The town I grew up in and spent most of my adult life in went from over 200,000 population to under 90,000 since 1980. There had been a small rebound in the 90's under Clinton, but GW has killed that. There had been 5 GM factories and 3 GM foundries in the city. In the Reagan, daddy Bush years GM closed 1 foundry and 3 factories. Under bush the last 2 foundries closed this year and the jobless rate in the city is astoundingly high, adults are now competing for jobs with high school kids, places like Burger King and Wendy's are the only ones hiring. Crime is rampant in the city, I moved my family out of the city after our son had a gun held to his head by 18 to 19 year olds trying to rob him of his lunch money on the way home from middle school. Come to find out that there had been 7 other cases where middle school kids had been robbed by the same older teens that week. Wal art has opened one store in the city and every K-Mart and house building stores in the city closed. Costing the city 1,000s of jobs while bringing in only a few hundred jobs. Again, do you know where Wal Mart sends most of the money it steals from american cities? Red China friend of N. Korea and terrorists alike.

12. Exactly
There are lots of good clothes in 2nd hand stores. That excuse doesn't work.

I buy nearly all of my clothes 2nd hand now since I can't shop wal-mart, target, k-mart and Costco's too far away.

I just buy fewer clothes. I buy less of everything. I found out I don't need to shop to feel good anymore. Ain't that cool!

13. Wal-mart is evil to the core
Everything about wal-mart is evil. How they do business--on subsidized cheap oil and low-low-(slave) wages paid by them and their sub-contractors, etc.

They represent the final dinosaur of corporate capitalism and will die in the tar pits of history.

Meanwhile, DON'T GO THERE. They're EVIL, EVIL, EVIL...
