She has been touted as being pro-choice, but it was a ruse to calm moderate women so they would be sucked into voted for Bush. She knows damn well that she has been used for that purpose.

...you meet and you get the feeling the interior doesn't match up with the exterior. Its an intuition thing when you meet someone who sends out a fake vibe. She reminds me of my husband's ex-boss's wife. She was so sweet at company functions, hugging everybody, etc. My husband said she was a total bitch at the office, never a kind word for anyone, real hateful.

I'm sure Laura is the same way. Hell she even killed her own ex-boyfriend and didn't ever do anything to make up for it! And apparently Laura also smoked pot and went to parties. She's not innocent. I always wonder how she and George really met. I don't remember but does anybody know if they ever introduced the people who they claim introduced them to each other? You never see them around but yet they claimed to be such close friends.

Laura Bush has always interested me because she reminds me of a wealthy woman, a Dallas socialite friend of my aunt's. This woman was always "perfect" in social situations, made all the right moves, always well-groomed, but there was an absolute blankness behind her eyes. I used to hate hearing from my aunt about how wonderful and perfect this family was, all the great things their kids accomplished, etc.

Well turns out, her son died with a brain tumor and later her daughter was poisoned to death by her son-in-law.

I think that this woman was probably on some sort of drug, something which made her distant from reality, but also gave her a robotic lack of emotional affect. It was as if there was a script that she followed, saying the words but not feeling the feelings. Interestingly, her sister, who was a closer friend of my aunt's, was a lady who made you want to hug her as soon as she walked in the room, not at all similar in her "vibe" to her sister.

Both this woman and Laura Bush share that look of being in some other universe, not really looking AT you, even when their eyes are focused on you, but past you. And whatever emotion is in there, under the skin, is so drugged or controlled that absolutely nothing gets out, no thing real. It's all acted out from a script, with a deadpan affect.

So true. I have Moore's F911 and in one part in an extra they show Laura Bush somewhere and someone in the press line asks her if she's seen F911 and Laura looks past this person and says "what do you think?" She is always looking past someone. Never directly there.

I can't believe I used to like her. Oy! But now I know the truth. And yes, Laura doesn't do anything except "stand by her man." At least Hillary became an indpendent person and did her own thing. All Laura and Lynne do is smile and go shopping and probably have tea and things like that. I used to not judge them since they were just married but now I know better. Especially after Laura's comments about the hurricane and things like that.
