Delegate Counts - why does Dean have more than Kerry?

I'm confused.. according to the graph on this page:

Dean has 104 delegates and Kerry has 75. I know I should know this and have a general idea why.. but can someone explain it ?

2. He's got more superdelegates.

Kerry got eighteen or so pledged delegates (who cannot change their vote) from Iowa, and the remaining delegates he has are unpledged superdelegates (who can change their vote).

Dean has a heck of a lot of endorsements but only seven or so pledged delegates.

Not that it will matter in the grand scheme of things... but in the event it goes to the Convention floor I guess it would.

There are 800 some superdelegates, they are not publically elected but rather selected members, usually people well established in the democratic party... They get to vote like the rest, and up until super tuesday I think, they can change their vote. Those counts reflect the Iowa delegates+superdelagtes who back a candidate (they can change)

Dean could lose NH and STILL Win the nomination quite easily...Why do you think the press was so quick to call him washed up??? I believe then freaps fear him because he will tell it like it is too their faces and show facts..Kerry can't beat Bush but Dean Can. Flat fact, no matter what they say. I would state my life on the fact that kerry will never be president..
