Do we really want to win in 2006 and beyond?
I was driving home today deep in thought and this question entered my mind.

Things are so bad now, so irrepairable, do we really WANT to win in 2006? To me, it seems like volunteering to be captain of the Titanic AFTER it hit the iceburg. This country is neck deep in excrement, and no one, I mean no one can fix the damage this little frat boy from Texas has done in a short period of time.

Any democrat who gets elected will not be able to fix things, and will only get blamed. Maybe we should let the pigs wallow in their own filth and just let them have it.

1. The longer the GOP runs things, the less fixable they become.

2. Too defeatist. Repubs will only make it worse.
And it can get worse.

3. Had Kerry won last year, we would have been sunk because...
Democrats would have gotten blamed for Bush's mess. Let the bottom fall out of America first. Once things get SO bad, people will support the Democrats fully just as they did in the 1930's.

Let's get congress back in 2006 and the WH in 2008. We must start to fix things now.

5. NO!!! Yes, things ARE BAD! But they aren't irrepairable!
It's going to take a very strong leader who isn't totally concentrating on getting re-elected, but doing the right thing for the Country.

Hmmmm. Do we have anyone like that????

6. Easy
Repeal the bush tax cuts.

End the Iraq "adventure".

Expand Medicare for ALL.

Cut the war budget.

It would take a Dem House and Senate though. Just the (all)White House isn't enough.

Which means, it would take a paradigm shift in the populace back to the idea of a social contract between citizens away from the "I've got mine, Jack so fuck you" society the regressive-right has created.

Could happen.

(ever the optimist)

7. And the blame game goes on....
doesn't matter who wins, it will still be Clinton's fault. BushSr and Reagan were heroes and angels. BushJr will slide right on thru and the next dem will take the heat for all the problems we now face and will face.

8. No. It is out duty to fight for this country. Lives depend upon it!
Maybe our own.

Buck up and don't dwell on this negative stuff. We need each one of us to get it to work out.
