Time to work our way up the chain. Chertoff next.
Edited on Fri Sep-09-05 08:27 PM by DemsUnited
1. Every stupid thing that Heckuvajob Brownie said last week, Chertoff said as well.

2. Chertoff's whole reason for being was to take the lessons of 9/11 and come up with a plan to keep Americans safe. That plan is the revised National Response Plan. Katrina was the first test of the plan. It failed miserably.

He needs to go.

1. That's for sure!......He's every bit as clueless as Brownie...
Another incompetent bush crony that needs to go.

He's creepy, and ugly too. It's disturbing to have to watch him on my TeeVee.

Demand resignations! Now!

5. this will not happen unless the press is relentless and keeps up the
pressure. bush thinks all he had to do was get him out of sight and he will be right unless the press keeps after Brown.

8. Yeah, the official line: He's back in DC preparing for the next storm
Well, that's just fucking great! He's preparing FEMA for the possibility of another hurricane.

That's an insult to the american people.

Of course it's bullshit. He's history. They just can't admit any mistakes, ever! Brown will eventually resign to spend more time with his family.

6. Chertoff has dual citizenship! Who is this neocon freeper's allegiance to?
Nothing against Israelis, nothing against any other nations, but I want someone without conflicting loyalites in charge of "Homeland Security".

9. I don't like him either...
...but the claim that he has dual-citizenship is not true. I have yet to see one reputiable source stating he does. There was thread about the other day after over 200 posts, the only 'proof' anyone had was from Rense (known for anti-Semitic rants) and the neo-nazi site I referrenced but refused to link.

That said, after the Brown debacle, I really think his credintials need to scoured over with a fine-tooth comb!

7. Chertoff is incompetent in this job, but he's smarter than Brown!
Just watch his Press Briefing today. He's much better at handling the Press than Brown could ever hope to be!

He's going to be a much harder nut to crack.

If these two new leaders, Admiral Allen and General (I forget his name) are successful in the reacue/recovery efforts in the Gulf, Chertoff will probably survive.

I think Chertoff realized that too! Those under you are going to sink you if you don't boot them out!
