I'm beyond Bush....I'm thinking more about, and hoping, that American citizens will start paying MORE ATTENTION ACROSS THE BOARD.
We obviously need to clean house. Literally. We need a much more EFFECTIVE government.
The average person isn't going to take the time to check to see what his/her congressmen and congresswomen are actually DOING and how they're voting.
Is there such a service that could provide weekly details such as this for people: a breakdown of pending legislation, and easy instructions as to how to contact their elected officials PRIOR to votes? As well as followups for them to provide feedback to their elected officials regarding votes already made.
It's one thing to get the Bush crowd out of there, but Congress is so corrupt and ineffective that we MUST put attention there and let Congress KNOW that's what we're doing. I know there are many activists here doing all these things....but how do we involve the average citizen more? Dems, Repubs, Independents....everyone.
